COLTS NOTEBOOK: Pinter confident as starting role looms

A year ago, Danny Pinter was somewhat isolated from his Indianapolis Colts teammates.

A broken ankle in the preseason ended his 2023 campaign before it began and left the 28-year-old offensive lineman with a year full of rehab. At the time, Pinter couldn’t be certain whether his career with his home-state team was over.

Scheduled for free agency in the spring, he worked tirelessly in the background as the Colts fell just short of a postseason berth in coach Shane Steichen’s first season.

In March, he earned a new contract to return to the roster, only to see Wisconsin center Tanor Bortolini selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft a month later.
