INDIANAPOLIS – Samuel Womack III did not expect to be moving across the country.
After two seasons as a contributor with the San Franciso 49ers, the 25-year-old did not expect to hit the waiver wire last week.
He didn’t expect to pack up his house, uproot his girlfriend’s life and prepare to start the 2024 season with the Indianapolis Colts.
But the cornerback was on the practice field Monday at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center for a walk-through with his new team for the first time.
Womack admits the past week hasn’t been easy, but he’s embracing the fresh start.
