INDIANAPOLIS — The smile on Andrew Luck's face might have looked out of place Sunday afternoon.
But only if you haven't followed the quarterback's plight over the past 20 months.
Despite the Colts' season-opening 34-23 loss against Cincinnati, Luck made a solid return to Lucas Oil Stadium. He finished 39-of-53 for 319 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, setting a career high for completions and gratitude.
“Overwhelmingly, I’m just grateful and appreciative to be here,” Luck said. “And that may sound a little cheesy. But I was so excited to get to run on the field as a Colt.
