INDIANAPOLIS — Andrew Luck was asked Wednesday about the Colts' recent penchant for running plays out of the wildcat formation.
The most memorable result this season was a 49-yard completion to running back Frank Gore on a flea flicker that quickly turned into a broken play and was saved by improvisation on both players' counts.
Still, the fifth-year quarterback was swift to dismiss his role in any of the gadget formation's success.
"I wouldn't say the quarterback runs the wildcat, per se," Luck said. "We are a fifth business."
Say what?
The answer prompted a Google search that again revealed the 27-year-old's unique intellectual perspective.
