ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Nobody wanted to come right out and say it, likely in deference to league rules regarding criticizing officials, but it's clear the Colts weren't 100 percent onboard with the late flag that cost them a crucial 2-point conversion Sunday.
The officials ruled wide receiver Kamar Aiken committed offensive pass interference on the play in which tight end Jack Doyle caught a pass from quarterback Jacoby Brissett that would have given Indianapolis an 8-7 lead with 1:16 remaining.
Although the yard lines were completely obscured by a winter storm that dropped an estimated eight inches of snow on the field during the game -- and was expected to blanket the region with 18 to 24 inches by night's end -- Aiken appeared to be within 1 yard of the line of scrimmage when he made his block.
