PHILADELPHIA — Even Andrew Luck was caught off guard for a moment when Jacoby Brissett came jogging onto the field for the final play of Sunday's 20-16 loss against the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
With the ball on their own 46-yard line and five seconds remaining, the Colts made a change at quarterback for the Hail Mary attempt. Brissett's pass flew out of the back of the end zone and fell incomplete as time expired, but Luck agreed with the call.
“Jacoby has a stronger arm than I do,” Luck said. “That is sort of what I see in practice, and obviously Coach (Frank) Reich thinks that as well.
