Brian Schwenke was brought in this offseason to provide some versatile depth along the interior of Indianapolis’ offensive line.
Schwenke has had ankle and knee trouble throughout his career including a dislocated ankle during the 2015 season. Schwenke’s injury history was one of the reasons the Titans decided to move on from him this offseason, but the Colts seemed to think he was healthy enough to take a chance on.
Schwenke’s ankle flared up again this offseason, and forced him to start training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. He is now healthy and activated from the PUP list, and will likely fill in for Ryan Kelly as the team’s starting center.
