Colts Mike Adams Officially Out with Ankle Injury

Indianapolis Colts safety Mike Adams injured his left ankle on an interception return in the 2nd quarter. He’s officially been declared “out” for the remainder of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos:

It’s a significant blow to a Colts secondary that’s currently playing a high-profile passing attack under Peyton Manning, as Adams is a solidifying force at safety.

The 12-year veteran caught his 5th interception on Sunday, which tied Oakland Raiders safety Charles Woodson for the league high. However, after a collision with a teammate, he injured his ankle on the return before being helped to the sidelines by teammates.
