WESTFIELD – The Indianapolis Colts gained the most valuable reps of training camp during Wednesday’s two-hour joint-practice, featuring the Arizona Cardinals at Grand Park.
Colts second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson looked more comfortable in Wednesday’s workout than he had in any of the previous 10 open practices. Richardson finished 6 of 8 passing during 11-on-11 drills and was sharp when commanding his explosive offense on the final drive. Perhaps it was because of his electrifying 15-yard run up the middle to ignite the drive on the first play from scrimmage. It took Indianapolis’ first-team offense six plays and less than two minutes to march 75 yards downfield and score against the Cardinals defensive starters in the final team session.
