INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts are exploring all avenues in preparing to find a potential replacement for 44-year-old kicker Adam Vinatieri when he eventually retires.
The Colts have trick-shot kicker Josh Gable taking part in their rookie minicamp this weekend. Gable, currently with the Nebraska Danger of the Indoor Football League, didn’t play college football, instead choosing to go directly from high school to train with the U.S. national soccer team before playing professionally in Italy and Belgium.
“I had stopped playing football after high school because I always wanted to play professional soccer,” Gable said.
