INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri pulled off a double feat while being named to the Super Bowl 50 Golden Team.
The 43-year-old Vinatieri was the only unanimous player chosen for the team, and he’s also the only player still active in the NFL. The Golden Team honors those with the best overall Super Bowl performances in their careers.
It’s not surprising one bit that Vinatieri made the team. He’s won a total of four Super Bowls with New England and the Colts, and he’s one most clutch kickers in NFL history.
Vinatieri is a perfect 66-of-66 on extra points and 56-of-68 on extra points in the playoffs during his 20-year NFL career.
