Indianapolis Colts starting safety Julian Blackmon, who continues to be among the team’s biggest standouts midway through training camp, has recently received some first-team defense reps at free safety—rather than his more accustomed strong safety spot (via ESPN’s Stephen Holder):
Safety Julian Blackmon had another great day for the Colts, including an interception deep down the middle of the field.
Thing is, he was playing FREE safety on that play and some others. Coach Shane Steichen confirmed they're looking at that as a possible move.
