Colts' Jones suspended 4 games for PED violation

Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Arthur Jones has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

The league announced the suspension Friday, saying that Jones has been suspended without pay.

Jones, 30, will be eligible to return to the Colts on Oct. 3, one day after their Week 4 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 6-foot-3, 337-pound Jones missed all of last season because of an ankle injury. He appeared in nine games and recorded 23 tackles in 2014, his first with the Colts.

Jones is the brother of mixed martial arts star Jon "Bones" Jones, who is facing a two-year doping suspension from the UFC.
