With the Colts having Jacoby Brissett start most of the games last year, they needed someone they could rely on as a receiver. Someone who could be counted on to make big catches when needed. That guy turned out to be tight end Jack Doyle.
Doyle was the leading receiver last year, and was one of the few true receiving threats. He always seemed to come up with key catches when the Colts needed it the most. Brissett continued to target him time and time again. This season might not be much different.
With Andrew Luck coming back, the Colts will have more receiving threats they can utilize.
