INDIANAPOLIS — Frank Reich insists the Colts still have confidence in their leading rusher, even though Indianapolis has essentially removed rookie running back Jonathan Taylor from the game plan two weeks in a row.
The first time, the Colts decided to go with Jordan Wilkins’ hot hand against Detroit. On Sunday, Reich blamed the lack of opportunities for the Indianapolis running game in the second half, rather than any frustration with Taylor.
But the rookie carried the ball just once after a critical first-quarter fumble, a turnover that turned the tide in the loss to the Ravens.
