Vontae Davis was battling various injuries all year in 2016, which contributed to his poor performance. Davis‘ groin injury resurfaced in Week 3 of the preseason, and it was serious enough for him to be sidelined for their season opener against the Rams.
Davis still hasn’t returned to practice as of Thursday, and the Colts may be wise to bring him along slowly to make sure he’s 100% healthy before he tries to return to the field.
