The Indianapolis Colts released their injury report for Saturday, and starting center Khaled Holmes (neck) is officially “out” for Monday night’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
Having made all 7 starts for the team, the 3rd-year center hadn’t practiced all week, so the injury update is not surprising. However, backup center Jonotthan Harrison will presumably start in his absence. The 2nd-year pro started 10 games for the Colts last season before being benched for Holmes in Week 15 because of a combination of inconsistency and mental mistakes.
Should Harrison get injured or significantly struggle, look for one of Jack Mewhort, Todd Herremans, or even Joe Reitz to assume starting center duties.
