INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts will likely have All-Pro left guard Quenton Nelson back on the field against the 49ers on Sunday night, but it’s not looking good for T.Y. Hilton after the wide receiver injured his quadriceps late in last week’s win over the Texans.
An Indianapolis team that has battled injuries all season has already ruled out right tackle Braden Smith (foot), cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (ankle), defensive end Kemoko Turay (groin), running back Jordan Wilkins (illness) and free safety Julian Blackmon, who tore his Achilles tendon in practice earlier this week.
Blackmon will not return this season, but the Colts are likely waiting to officially place the free safety on injured reserve until the team brings Nelson back off injured reserve, a move that could happen on Saturday.
