INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts will play without Rock Ya-Sin for a second straight weekend. Coach Frank Reich ruled the second-year starting cornerback out for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
Ya-Sin was a late scratch ahead of last week's win against the Minnesota Vikings after being taken to a local hospital just before kickoff with what was then classified as a stomach illness.
Reich revealed Friday that Ya-Sin underwent a procedure this week but declined to specify what it addressed. He did add that the team anticipates Ya-Sin will return to action soon. At no point this week has Ya-Sin made an appearance on the NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list.
