The Colts don’t have a perfect roster heading into the 2018 season as general manager Chris Ballard continues his rebuild in Indianapolis. However, this team is very deep at the tight end position and the depth chart will hopefully include a healthy Erik Swoope. Swoope underwent a knee surgery before the 2017 season that was then described as a fairly routine scope. Unfortunately, Swoope’s knee never returned to 100 percent health and he was forced to sit out the entire year as he watched the Colts falter to a 4-12 season.
Swoope has had an entire offseason to rehab and he’s been given a clean bill of health as the Colts kick off training camp.
