INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have hired experienced NFL assistant Richard Smith as linebackers coach, a source with knowledge of the hire confirmed to IndyStar Wednesday. Fox 59/CBS 4 reported the news first.
Smith, a 66-year-old veteran of three decades and 10 different teams, is the second assistant coach to follow new Indianapolis defensive coordinator Gus Bradley to Indy, along with veteran defensive backs coach Ron Milus, whose hire was made official last week.
