Here is a quick breakdown of the moves the Colts have made in building their coaching staff so far:
Frank Reich’s coaching staff contains a mix of up-and-coming young coaches and established veterans, and the Colts added another qualified coach to that staff in Rusty Jones.
Jones will be the “Director of Sports Performance,” which sounds like a fancy title for what’s better known as a strength and conditioning coach.
Jones has been a strength coach in the NFL since he began working with the Bills in 1985. He was in Buffalo for nearly 20 years before moving to Chicago to become the Bears’ strength and conditioning coordinator.
