Until the new league season begins, there are likely going to be some minor roster movements to begin building toward a 90-man off-season roster. One position that will certainly require some attention before contract extensions or free agency gets underway will be the wide receiver position.
Chris Ballard continued addressing some of the uncertainty at the position by bringing in DeAndre Smelter, a former fourth round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Smelter has had an interesting sports path that led to him getting drafted to play Major League Baseball coming out of high school.
