Colts GM Chris Ballard, NFL seek to help former players coaching high school

INDIANAPOLIS — The NFL Scouting Combine has barely begun. The first group of players — tight ends, wide receivers and quarterbacks — are starting to arrive. NFL teams and their armies of personnel are flying into the city and taking over downtown, and the first formal interviews, the first official part of the evaluation that will happen this week, will not start until Sunday night.

But Colts general manager Chris Ballard is in a ballroom at the Hyatt Regency early this Sunday morning, speaking passionately as he gives the keynote address for the very first event of this extended Combine week, the Legends Community Coaching Clinic.
