INDIANAPOLIS — Minus their top quarterback, top two tight ends and top defensive player, the Indianapolis Colts hit the practice field Tuesday for the first time since mid-January, mindful of the elevated expectations awaiting them this coming fall, and the potential pitfalls that lie ahead.
Last year, they flew under the radar. This year, they won’t.
“Not falling into a trap of thinking we’re supposed to be this and that,” second-year coach Frank Reich said, alluding to the temptations of being one of the league’s trendy picks to make a deep run in the postseason.
