Colts establish scholarship to honor Edwin Jackson

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts have established the "Edwin Jackson Memorial Scholarship" in honor of the linebacker who was killed when he and another person were hit by a suspected drunk driver on Feb. 4.

Colts owner Jim Irsay gave a $25,000 gift to create the scholarship, which was announced Monday.

"Edwin was such a wonderful young man and was beloved by his family and friends across the country, especially by his Colts family here in Indianapolis," Irsay said in a statement. "We are all better people for having known him, and we already miss him so much.
