Christmas Day came with a little bit of good news and bad news for the Indianapolis Colts. The good news is star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (ankle) will play in a pivotal matchup Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Buckner has been dealing with an ankle injury since a few days before the Colts' most recent victory over the Texans. He played through the pain and registered three sacks but was limited in practice all this week.
However, Colts coach Frank Reich says Buckner has been progressing nicely and will play against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
