Colts linebacker Darius Leonard dropped into the flat and kept his eyes locked on Derek Carr like a cat on the prowl.
The Raiders quarterback saw what Leonard wanted him to see, a receiver breaking open across the middle of the field, so Carr lofted the ball. As he did, Leonard’s hips rotated as if on a string, and he darted from the flats to the deep hash and speared the ball out of the sky.
Leonard’s league-leading 15th turnover came like so many before it, calculated on his part and unforeseen by his opponent.
