Colts defend home turf to earn first win as Bears fold in trenches

The Indianapolis Colts prevailed in Sunday’s 21-16 win over the Chicago Bears to secure the first win of the season at Lucas Oil Stadium.

It was an ugly affair from start to finish, including some hideous mistakes from the NFL’s two youngest starting signal callers. The Colts were favored in a series of fortunate events and caught every possible break against their nearest rival. Even the help of a referee’s whistle signaled the end of a play and negated a turnover after Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson’s deflected pass landed into the arms of Bears defensive tackle Andrew Billings.
