INDIANAPOLIS -- Defensive lineman Art Jones' season -- and potentially his time with the Colts -- came to an end when he was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Jones had played in eight straight games this season before being sidelined last week with a groin injury and then missing Sunday's game against the Vikings.
There was a lot of high hope for Jones when the Colts signed him to a five-year, $33 million contract in the spring of 2014. Jones, a run stopper, had ties with Colts coach Chuck Pagano from their time together with the Baltimore Ravens.
