INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts organization released a statement Sunday, prompted by the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota last week and the wave of protests that erupted across the country, including in Indianapolis over the weekend.
Frank Reich wanted to speak personally, to say something more.
Reich addressed Floyd’s death in a team meeting Thursday, spent part of his weekend reaching out to Colts players to understand their pain, penned his own statement, and he opened his weekly media availability Monday by addressing the subject directly, becoming the second NFL head coach, after Dolphins' Brian Flores.
