INDIANAPOLIS -- In his final news conference of the 2019 season, Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich said he had no regrets about the way the Adam Vinatieri situation was handled this year.
Despite the kicker's yearlong struggles, Reich and the Colts consistently supported him for 12 games until he hit injured reserve earlier this month.
"I really don't (have regrets)," Reich said Monday. "I wish it would have worked out better, numbers wise. But when I look back on it, and I think I'm being pretty honest with myself, given all of the factors, given his history, given what we were seeing in practice, given the fact that it started a little bit slow but that he hit a groove for three or four games; he earned it.
