INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have claimed tight end Kahale Warring off of waivers, taking a flyer on a player the Houston Texans picked in the third round in 2019.
Warring, a 6-5, 250-pounder, was chosen with the No. 86 pick in the 2019 draft out of San Diego State, but a concussion and a hamstring injury suffered in training camp put him on injured reserve for his entire rookie season.
The big tight end spent part of the 2020 season on injured reserve again, but he came back in November and played in Houston’s final six games, catching three passes for 35 yards.
