WESTFIELD — Michael Pittman Jr.’s first day of work against another team this season got off to a bad start.
Pittman blew past a Carolina defensive back twice in 1-on-1 drills, got free and found the ball laid on him perfectly by Jacob Eason, only to let the throw go through his hands and bounce off the turf. Eason made a beeline for Pittman after the drill, patting the second-year receiver on the helmet in an effort to tell him to shake it off.
And Pittman responded with one of the best plays of the practice in a red-zone period later.
