Colts camp observations: Trio of young pass rushers flash potential, Luck does 7-on-7 work

WESTFIELD — Adding pass rush was the Colts’ No. 1 offseason priority, a need filled most notably by the free agent signing of four-time Pro Bowler Justin Houston.

But Indianapolis is going to need more than Houston alone to realize general manager Chris Ballard’s vision, a group of eight or nine talented defensive linemen rotating, staying fresh and making life hard on opposing quarterbacks. For that to happen, the Colts need a few of their young pass rushers to take big steps forward.

The early signs at training camp are good, although they come with the caveat that the Colts have not put on full pads yet.
