WESTFIELD — For most of his tenure in Indianapolis, Colts general manager Chris Ballard has been excellent at finding undervalued linebackers in the draft.
The results were on display in a truncated practice Wednesday, a shorter session designed to make sure the Colts are ready for the competition of joint practices against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday and Friday.
Back on the field for just his second day in training camp,Darius Leonard picked off rookie quarterback Sam Ehlinger on the first 11-on-11 passing attempt of the day, and then Bobby Okereke opened the next 11-on-11 period by snapping up a Jacob Eason attempt that got batted high in the air because it was too far behind Michael Pittman Jr.
