WESTFIELD — The Colts offense has been shaky at times since Carson Wentz went down with an injury last week, and it had a rough day Tuesday, a day that even the eternally optimistic Frank Reich had to admit was below par.
But second-year quarterback Jacob Eason and the team’s No. 1 offense shook it off and turned in a big day Wednesday.
Eason completed 9 of 11 passes, fired a strike in to Zach Pascal on an intermediate throw that Pascal likely would have taken to the end zone in a game and hung in on his final throw of the day to complete a pass down the field to Parris Campbell despite heavy pressure from Kemoko Turay.
