WESTFIELD — Coach Frank Reich has spent the offseason setting lofty goals for the running game.
The Indianapolis Colts want a top-five rushing attack, gaining more than 2,000 yards.
Indianapolis has some work to do. Reich wasn’t happy with the running game in Buffalo (50 yards on 22 carries — a 2.3 average).
“Definitely want to be able to run the ball better,” Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni said.
With full pads on and center Ryan Kelly back to work, the Colts had more issues in the running game Sunday morning. Marlon Mack didn’t have much room in the early going, and neither did Jonathan Williams.
