WESTFIELD — The Colts offense looks different with Carson Wentz at the helm.
For the second consecutive day, Wentz took all of the 7-on-7 snaps — the Colts have held him out of 11-on-11 reps to avoid a lineman stepping on his surgically-repaired foot — and the difference between the way the Indianapolis starter runs things and the way the young backups have been running it is palpable.
Wentz is crisp in his progressions, appears to get through his reads quickly, and when he checks the ball down to a running back, it’s often when the back still has room to run in the flat, before the defense can react and adjust.
