WESTFIELD — Carson Wentz is not practicing right now, not in the traditional sense, wearing a helmet and taking snaps and firing balls downfield.
But the Colts starting quarterback is getting in plenty of work on the practice field.
Wentz wears a radio on his right hip that has a cord running up to an earpiece, and he’s been planted next to head coach Frank Reich and the quarterbacks. Wentz isn’t stationary, either. He’s on the move, taking a drop here, simulating a wide receiver’s release there, pulling receivers aside after plays to chat with them and tell them how to adjust their routes.
