INDIANAPOLIS — The offense got off to a slow start in Sunday's first training camp practice, with the quarterbacks struggling in particular.
Backups Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris were errant on nine of 12 pass attempts during one stretch, and undrafted rookie Phillip Walker was intercepted by cornerback Tevin Mitchel.
Tolzien most likely would be the Indianapolis Colts' starter in Week 1 of the regular season at Los Angeles if Andrew Luck has not yet sufficiently recovered from offseason surgery on his right shoulder.
There's a long way to go before that point. But the early returns were less than encouraging.
