INDIANAPOLIS — Chuck Pagano warned this spring that the Indianapolis Colts would be forced to cut some good football players on the defensive line this year.
This wasn't what he had in mind.
Defensive end Kendall Langford — who started all 16 games in 2015 and seven games last year before being placed on injured reserve — was waived Wednesday with a failed physical designation.
Langford had been on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list since the start of training camp.
"Kendall emerged as a team leader shortly after we signed him in 2015," Pagano said in a team news release.
