The Colts announced that they have signed safety Mike Mitchell and waived cornerback Lenzy Pipkins. This is an interesting move for a few reasons, one of them being that Mitchell was cut from the team after the preseason. He also was ejected in a preseason game for the helmet rule.
Mitchell was the first player in the league to be ejected for lowering the helmet on a tackle. That was the last straw for the Colts, who then turned around and cut him. He has been out of work since, but now is back with the team.
