Defensive tackle Jegs Jegede was placed on injured reserve today. Jegede was one of the undrafted free agents that the Colts signed. He played football at Valdosta State. Now his season is over, so the Colts had to sign someone to take his place.
They did so by signing Caraun Reid. Reid previously played with the Colts back in 2017 without actually appearing in a game. Last season, he was released during the final cuts of training camp. Clearly he was someone the team was looking at until the very end.
Reid has appeared in at least one game every year of his five-year career.
