INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have been stockpiling veteran safeties for the last couple of weeks.
First, it was Andrew Sendejo, the long-time Viking who has already been asked to fill a spot in the starting lineup for both safety positions due to injuries. Then the Colts added former Packers and Jaguars strong safety Josh Jones to the practice squad last week.
Indianapolis added long-time Chargers strong safety Jahleel Addae to the mix on Tuesday, signing him to the practice squad along with veteran tight end Ethan Wolf. A Colts team that went into the season opener with just three safeties on the roster has been adding veterans as injuries have hit the position hard.
