Colts agree to four-year extension with punter Rigoberto Sanchez

With only one year remaining left on his contract, Colts’ punter Rigoberto Sanchez has agreed to a multi-year extension to remain in Indianapolis.

While the official numbers surrounding the deal have yet to be revealed, sources told Joel Erickson of Indy Star that the deal is for four seasons, signing him through the end of 2023.

Sanchez arrived in Indy as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and won the starting job after edging out Jeff Locke during the preseason. His 46.1 yards per punt were the eighth-highest total in the NFL last season, and the California-native has appeared in every game the last two seasons.
