INDIANAPOLIS – In trying to bolster their pass rush, the Colts have dipped back into their pipeline north of the border.
On Monday afternoon, the Colts signed Canadian Football League outside linebacker Alex Bazzie to a reserve/future contract.
Bazzie, a 6-2, 240-pound edge rusher, had 29.0 sacks in three seasons with the BC Lions.
In playing 50 career games in the CFL, Bazzie now comes to a team that has found success with similar signings.
Former linebacker Jerrell Freeman came to the Colts via the CFL back in 2012 and turned into a four-year starter in Indianapolis.
