The Indianapolis Colts announced on Thursday that the team has activated Dezmon Patmon from the team’s injured reserve, while placing starting safety Khari Willis on injured reserve in a corresponding 53-man active roster move.
Willis suffered a calf injury during last Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans and did not return to the game. He was already declared ‘out’ for Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets yesterday.
With fellow starter Julian Blackmon already lost for the season, the Colts figure to deploy some combination of Andrew Sendejo, George Odum, and Josh Jones at safety—which isn’t ideal to say the least.
