INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts activated starting left tackle Eric Fisher off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday and released veteran defensive tackle Antwaun Woods.
Fisher tested positive for the novel coronavirus before the final preseason game and sat out at least 10 days before returning.
Before Fisher tested positive, the veteran tackle apparently had a chance to play in Sunday’s season opener against Seattle.
“I just think it’s too soon,” Indianapolis head coach Frank Reich said after Fisher’s diagnosis. “It’s a stinking shame, because man, I really think he was tracking. … I think this is a little bump in the road for him — not for his recovery, but just as far as timetable.
