As he counts down the literal days to being enshrined into football immortality as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s illustrious Class of 2024 in Canton, Ohio, former Indianapolis Colts all-time pass rushing great Dwight Freeney recently offered high praise for two of the franchise’s very talented young players on NFL Network’s ‘The Insiders’.
When asked about UCLA rookie edge Laiatu Latu, who the Colts recently made the first defensive player chosen collectively in the 2024 NFL Draft with the 15th overall pick, Freeney was very complimentary of the already seemingly polished first-year pass rusher—who also offers valuable positional versatility:
“I think he has size, and he has mobility,” Freeney responded on NFL Network’s ‘The Insiders’ regarding what he’s initially seen from Latu.
